We spend a lot of time at Suzukipedia writing about the latest in rally sport and general Suzuki car reviews. But how can we send off 2008 without a look at the motor company’s greatest product – motorcycles. We break down the top rides in five different categories of biking – from kids to adults cruising for the next thrill. Check out our Suzuki bike count down below!

Suzuki Sportsbike

2008 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R

Suzuki’s Hayabusa has been on the top of the company’s cycle list for years, and has only the ability to top itself as new models emerge. With a 1340cc DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16-valves, a Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers (providing 11% higher performance than ’07′s model) the Hayabusa GSX1300R doesn’t have to worry about much competition on the roads. Expect more outlandish body designs to come out in the future.

Suzuki Cruiser/Touring

2008 Suzuki Boulevard M109R Limited Edition

Covered in chrome and race-proven performance round out the 2008 Suzuki Boulevard M109R Limited Edition. It’s Suzuki’s successful attempt at combining the Boulevard M109R design and performance with the technology behind Suzuki’s championship-winning GSX-R sport bikes. It’s frighteningly powerful V-Twin engine makes this cruiser a warrior on those long distance rides.

Motocross Bikes

2008 Suzuki RM-Z450

Suzuki reworked a lot of their Motocross rides for ’08 and the RM-Z450 is at the top of their dirt-track game. Suzuki has placed an electric fuel injection engine and a chassis improved form last year’s model. But don’t say it’s all about an EFI system – Suzuki claims that everything from “new suspension settings and improvements on just about everything else from the triple-clamps to the foot pegs” make this an all around fantastic race bike.

Offroad Motorcycles

2008 Suzuki DR-Z125L

Developed for “teenagers and adults who are developing their off-road skills.” The 2008 DR-Z125L features that aggressive dirt bike look and performance to please seasoned riders while having enough handling ease for newbies who need a learning curve. Its 4-stroke single cylinder SOHC 2-valve engine and 124cc displacement will give any fresh faced biker a run for their money.

Suzuki Kids Motorcycles

2008 Suzuki RM85 Kids Dirt Bike

The RM85 is loaded with technology derived from Suzuki’s championship-winning motocross bikes. It’s small size and handling make it a great learning bike for kids who want to experience off road winning cycling for the first time. With a 84.7 cc 2-stroke liquid-cooled engine you may be wondering why we didn’t go with a more enhanced ride for the kids section. We chose Suzuki’s RM85 Kids Dirt Bike because it’s simple, powerful and won’t scare the young ones who are nervous about taking their first steps into the motorcycle lifestyle.
