In 2001, Suzuki Motorcycles introduced a concept at the Tokyo International Motor Show. It took 7 years, but finally made the production line in 2008…Suzuki’s B-King.

Suzuki’s original idea for B-King looks like a spaceship that went through a blender and came out with the same engine as a GSX1300 Hayabusa. That’s 1340cc of thrust coming from the motor. The bike’s materials include carbon fiber, stainless steel, aluminum and leather.

In many instances the 2008 B-King looks to be a stripped-down Hayabusa. Ignition and fuel injection mapping are exactly like the Busa – B-King also shares the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve digital fuel injection.

2008′s Suzuki B-King Production Model

With upwards of 150 miles between fill ups you’re looking at one of the better gas sipping motorbikes on the road today. B-King produces 160 rear-wheel horse power with 9,500 RPMs. Brake rotors and three-spoke wheels are also the same as Hayabusa, but the radial-mount four-piston calipers are different.

2001′s Suzuki B-King Concept

The instrument cluster features a stunning digital speedometer, fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, etc. Back in 2001 Suzuki was working on a VR helmet to go along with B-King, that would digitally display all the gauges in front of your face. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that specific head gear comes up in the near future.
