With the success the video game Gran Turismo 4 (along with their entire Turismo series) a sequel was obviously expected and anticipated. But for the time being fans will have to settle for samples of the game via Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, as a full version of GT5 isn’t expected to come anywhere near North America for years. But what better to come with a sequel than the return of the Suzuki Escudo Rally car.

Suzuki Escudo was originally designed by GT developers for The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Gran Turismo 3. This course, based on a real trail in the Colorado Mountains, had a total distance of 12.35 miles. The race starts at an elevation of 9,200 feet and finishes at 14,100 with over 150! To do all that climbing the video game Escudo is powered by a 935 HP Twin Turbo V6. This fast, light weight vehicle can capture each corner with ease, and will grow to become an even larger fan favorite in GT5: Prologue.
